Me, digital cameras, f-spot, digikam, gthumb!

This is not a good match. I can't get r/w access to my Canon 400 EOS D cam, neither to my Canon 500 IXUS cam. This is only a problem in Foresight, no other distro's. The people at Foresight did not know too much to solve this problem.

All I need is to change the R/W access to my cams.

Any ideas?

How are you accessing the camera?

plug the camera in and try accessing it normally, get the syslog changes and paste them here.
