MDK 9.0 Network Question

Hey
Has anyone already connected MDK 9.0 to the net using a cable modem connection, I want to get a hub to share another connnection to the net..But I can't seem to find a hub and a network card thats compatible w/ mkk 9.0..Has anyone already, connected to the net using a hub or a network card, if yes...Can u tell me which network card u used and which hub will work very well...withe the least problems..

You can ckeck the hardware compatability list on Mandrake's website to see what network cards have bee tested. Netgear, 3COM, Intel, or anything based on the Realtek 8139 all work well.

Any 10/100 hub or 10/100 switch will work. Make sure its autosense for speed. Some will even autosense a crossover cable. If you are thinking about sharing printers or files between the networked PCs I would think about getting a router with a firewall for added security.
