Mayflash 3 in 1 Magic Joy Box adapter causes USB malfunction

1 Attachment(s)
Upon plugging in my new PSX->USB adapter to my laptop (Dell Inspiron N5110) I found that my wireless connection was lost and couldn't be reconnected with wicd-client. The adapter created some devices (Lexmark printer and something called Microdia).
Code:

Bus 003 Device 003: ID 043d:0029 Lexmark International, Inc. Scan Print Copy
Bus 003 Device 004: ID 8086:0189 Intel Corp.
Bus 003 Device 005: ID 0c45:6441 Microdia
Bus 004 Device 003: ID 8087:07d9 Intel Corp.
Bus 004 Device 004: ID 0bda:0138 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. Card reader
Bus 003 Device 006: ID 0926:2526

The last is what I assume is the "correct" one since the game I was attempting to play actually responded when it showed up. Different devices were registered depending on the usb port I used. One of the devices prevented my laptop from entering sleep mode.

Partial syslog attached. Begins directly as iptables stopped logging-- so, when my wifi went awol.

Seems the difference between USB ports is that the one where it malfunctions is Super Speed USB.
