Matrox Millenium odd resolutions Fedora 12

Hey all.

Im currently running Fedora 12 on a *old* Dimension 2400.

Its having onboard graphics. Intel 845GV, Fedora recognizes this fine and it even recognizes my monitor as well. But when i use my Matrox Millennium PCI card its totally blurred and i can only select odd resolutions. I suspect this is because the card is not detected, probably
i have no idea hot to fix this. theres no driver from Matrox, only for their newer cards. any help is greatly appriciated

I dont think switching distro is a good solution.

then live with fedora's odd habits
i went for almost 30 days without a driver for my nvidia card when fedora decided to use the still BETA version of a new Xorg .
