Matrox G400 DH and TV-out setup

I'm following this HOWTO http://wilsonet.com/mythtv/fcmyth.php to build a mythtv system. I have successfully setup MythTV before, but I haven't set up tv-out before. All the HOWTOS I have found on google for setting up Matrox DH G400 tv-out are from 2001-2002 and are poorly written. Does anyone know of a good howto? I only want t have the TV connected to the mythtv system. I thought about using the matrox drivers and utilities, but I don't want the macrovision restrictions that come with that software.

I forgot to mention that I'm using the 2.6 kernel and all the HOWTO are for 2.4 kernels.
