ShayA LQ Newbie Registered: Feb 2006 Posts: 13 Rep:	Mandriva 2006 not recognizing WD SATA HD Ok..... So I've got to the point where I can start to install Mandriva 2006. The mother board is ASUS P5V800 with WD 80GB HD drive. After I choose the language I've been asked to use the driver for the HD I get: "What disk/Ide should I try?" I tried sata_via but it did not work. I tried all the other sata_* but it did not work as well..... I tried "linux noapic" I clicked on F1 when started, I typed "linux noapic". That did not work as well... what should I do ?
