mandrake/redhat and nforce

hello,

i just installed redhat and mandrake on my new system with nforce chipset, but linux doesn't detect the onboard network controller correctly. i've found a rpm with nforce drivers on nvidia.com and i installed it - but what then? where can i tell linux which driver to use. how can i activate the driver in mandrake control center or in redhat? i'm a newbie so please - if possible - no compiling etc. :-)

thanks a lot
thomas
