Mandrake and a TFT moniter!

I have set up 2 Linux box's but only one connects to the internet. Thats OK I thought I can sort that out by taking the one not connected to the internet downstairs. I plugged it all in and to my surprise went alright until I go to about the KDE login. The moniter (a TFT) said
Quote:

VGA MODE NOT SUPPORTED
. Well I don't know what to do! As you can probably tell I am a total:newbie:!

The info is:
TFT: Normal PnP monitor with a GeForce FX 5200
OS: Mandrake 9.2

The reason I needed it to connect to the internet is to install packages offline. So what should I do about the moniter the other one is a CRT and to heavy to lug down the stairs unnecessarily.

There's an icon in Mandrake Control Center for configuring your X display. Just pick the TFT model, default resolution and color depth from a couple dropdown lists and Mandy will do the rest (rewrite XF86Config-4 that is.)

Next time boot into single mode with the option 'linux single'. You will be logged in as root. You can run the Mandrake setup program from the shell. The command is 'XFDrake'.

Also, do you have your video card selected? If not, try 'vesa' instead of VGA.

Sorry, but I think I made a mistake!:newbie: The Geforce FX 5200 is on the other machine. This is the card the monitor has been used with so far. I think the problem is the onboard graphics. But have read that this shouldnt have a affect on this. Please help
