Unhappy Mandrake 9.2 & USB Wireless Desktop

Hi, I seriously need some help before I freak out. I have a Creative Wireless Desktop (Keyboard & Mouse) and the reciever for both connects to one USB port. The keyboard works fine, but the mouse is detected as a serial mouse and doesnt work. I've tried configuring it as a USB wheel, Explorer USB wheelmouse and Intellimouse USB wheelmouse and that doesn't work either. The annoying thing is that I tried it in Redhat 9 and it worked as Intellimouse USB wheelmouse. Also tried it in Mepis Linux and it worked first time round as a USB mouse. Is there something I am doing wrong in Mandrake. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Just thought I'd check if anyone using the Creative Wireless desktop managed to get it to work. I know its an old thread, but I am curious to see if there is a solution out there.
