mandrake 9.2 and 5 button microsoft trackball optical usb


hey does anybody know how to make a 5 button trackball work with mandrake 9.2

in your X config file, try changing your mouse options to the following:

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse0"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Buttons" "5"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"

Obviously, make sure you back up your working config file before making changes.
