Mandrake 9.1

Could someone please tell me or give me links that will make my ugly green Alcatel Speedtouch USB modem work with the latest Mandrake 9.1.
In setup I choose extra packages and select the speedtouch software it says will install everything to make the modem work. So when I set up my net connection it auto detects the right modem but when i select it it says I need the microcode from this so and so website to make it work. I mean wtf. newayz im a total newbeee. ne help most apreciated? thanks!

if you do everything exectly as stated in the HOWTO, it'll work like a charm.
If you need help, their irc channel used to be a pretty good place to get help.
