mandrake 10.1 fails to see CD-ROM
Attempting to install 10.1 on new system with all new hardware. is foxconn A6VMX. Both hard drive and cd-rom are set for cable select. Knoppix will boot from CD-ROM ok, but using the installation CD's for mandrake 10.1 it only get past the initial "install" screen, then when performing hardware discovery it complains there is no CD-ROM. BIOS identifies both hard drive and CD-ROM and is effective when primary boot target is set to CD-ROM. Any help would be greatly appreciated...
