I have a question. My system has a usb scanner connected to it. It is a Visioneer OneTouch 7600. When i connected it, I was having problems trying to get it to work with Mandrake 10.0. I use scanimage -L and I get the error saying that it could not find anything. I use scanner-find program and it shows that there is one connected to the usb using libusb 001:003. I have tried Xsane and Kooka and nothing works. Xsane tries to detect it but it does not. Kooka does not do anything when I try to detect it in that program. Anyone who can help me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

You scanner isn't supported by SANE. That's the backend program needed for the your scanner to talk to linux. In other words, you have a really nice paper weight. I have several, so don't feel bad.
