malfunctioning SCSI (con't)
 

Sorry but I accidentally posted this in the SW section before...

Hello all, Is it possible for one malfunctioning SCSI device to affect other SCSI device connected on the same adapter or PC? Say for example, I had a SCSI tape backup system with a malfuctioning robotic tape switching controller, could it knock out my SCSI drives temporarily? Sorry for the vague details. I experienced an unexplained occurance on one of my servers. I would appreciate any help with this matter. Thank you.
