Making removable disks mount with specific permissions

I'm running Suse 10.2 and want to make sure my flash drives always mount with write access for all users on the system.

The problem is that the device assignment changes all the time. I'm sure this is a common problem. How can I do this?

You need to do some research into writing udev rules. Which file to edit to comment out the part that dynamically creates mount points (that's why the name keeps changing); which file to add custom rules into (/etc/udev/udev.conf for storage devices); how to find the information you will need (info on your system, not the 'net) to construct the rule to make persistent mount points for particular devices, etc.

www.google.com/linux is your friend for this research.
