Major USB2.0 problems
Hi,
I'm using Fedora Core 1. I've two onboard USB1.1 ports and I recently bought a PCI USB2.0 card. I installed it. No problems.
I then noticed that I started getting these messages in dmesg:
hub.c: port 4 over-current change
hub.c: port 1 over-current change
hub.c: port 2 over-current change
hub.c: port 3 over-current change
hub.c: port 4 over-current change
hub.c: port 1 over-current change
hub.c: port 2 over-current change
hub.c: port 3 over-current change
hub.c: port 4 over-current change
hub.c: port 1 over-current change
hub.c: port 2 over-current change
hub.c: port 3 over-current change
hub.c: port 4 over-current change
hub.c: port 1 over-current change
hub.c: port 2 over-current change
hub.c: port 3 over-current change
hub.c: port 4 over-current change
hub.c: port 1 over-current change
hub.c: port 2 over-current change
hub.c: port 3 over-current change
hub.c: port 4 over-current change
hub.c: port 1 over-current change
hub.c: port 2 over-current change
hub.c: port 3 over-current change
hub.c: port 4 over-current change
and it keeps on going!!! Just a minute ago, my computer crashes and rebooted itself. I'm suspecting the error above!
Does anybody know what the problem is and how I can fix it?
I don't know much about my new USB2.0 controller, only that the chip-set is from VIA.
I would appreciate all help!
Anders
