Lucent winmodem under SUSE 8.0 on compaq laptop

Hi guys
I'm running into trouble trying to install SUSE 8.0 professional on a compaq presario 1246 (both quite outdated, aren't they?).

Everything went really fine until I tried to configure an internet connection: though SUSE doesn't seem to detect my internal modem (I checked with YAST), it's still listed in Available Hardware/Unknown (among a lot of stuff) as 'Askey Lucent 56k V.90 DFi Modem'. So I guess that's its identity.

I tried to download and install drivers for that kind of modem but they don't install due to dependency problems.

Apart from that modem stuff, I'm very happy with my linux, it runs great and developpers from SUSE and KDE did a really great job.

Can anyone do something for me?
(Little extra information, though it may not be worth pointing at: I'm quite new to Linux)

I had the same problem with my Dad's computer. SuSE 8.0 and Lucent WinModem.

I managed to find a driver at the following location:
http://www.heby.de/ltmodem

Hope this helps.
