Lucent Microelectronics LT WinModem

Anyone know if this modem works under linux? Also how can i get the Vendor ID and Device ID. Here is the output for cat /proc/pci

Communication controller: Lucent Microelectronics LT WinModem (rev 0).
IRQ 9.
Master Capable. Latency=64. Min Gnt=252.Max Lat=14.
Non-prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xf4100000 [0xf41000ff].
I/O at 0x2400 [0x2407].
I/O at 0x2000 [0x20ff].

Any other commands i can use to learn more about my modem?

[Edit] My kernel is 2.4.20-6 running on i686 . Can anyone tell me which file to download from here based on that information, or will i need to know more like the Vendor ID and Device ID?[/Edit]

You need a driver. www.linmodems.org. And, yes, it does work.

I found

Class 0780: 11c1:044e

in /sbin/lspci. Is my Device ID and Vendor ID in there?

Go to the link that Thoreau gave you above, dl the scanModem
utility and run it. It will give you a load of info about your modem.
You can also e-mail the output back to Marv and he will try to help.

I downloaded the scanmodem tool and it told me the desired driver was

ltmodem-kv_2.4.20_6-8.26a9-1.i686.rpm

but the closest one is

ltmodem-kv_2.4.20_6-8.26a9-1.athlon.rpm

I'll try and install the athlon driver and let you know if it works

[Edit]Before I install the driver, anyone know if it works?[/Edit]

[Edit]I won't be lazy, I'll go ahead and reboot and test it myself. I wouldn't have asked, It's just I cant stand the 15 minute wait rebooting and switching OS's :( [/Edit]

I installed the rpm, then went to Internet Configuration Wizard, but it didn't detect my modem. Anything else i should try?
