LSI53C1030 SCSI Controller - Linux Installation !

Hello ,

I have a Tyan K8WE motherbaord with a onboard LSI53C1030
SCSI Controller .

My aim : I´d like to install SuSe or Ubuntu ( 64 bit versions ) Linux .

My SCSI controller isn´t recognized by these Linux distributions , I have found drivers on LSI Logic homepage but in first only place only for SuSe 9.1 ?

We have the SuSe 10.0 at the moment , so is there any chance that this version can work out on my computer ?

Question : Can you help me how exactly to install ( integrate ) a SCSI controller drivers at a Linux installation ?
Driver disk ?
Rawrite for Windows ?

Also , does anyone know where can I find a *.iso file of
SuSe 9.1 Professional x86_64 ?
Any ftp link ?

Sure , on ftp servers I can find them , but not as a simple *.iso file ?

I apologize for some questions , but I´m a novice to Linux systems .

Thank you very much in advance .

Cheers ,

Rijndael !
