LPT1 problem

On kernel 2.4.X i have some strange problems with my LPT1 port

After boot the LPT1 acts very strange :

Using a few LEDs i noticed that there is some big activity on LPT1 ( data pins ) and all this without runing any lpt related process ...

I can run processes that writes to lpt1 but my data gets mixed with other pieces of data that comes from nowhere

On DOS 6.x and Win. there is no problem

Any suggestion is welcomed
