Angry Low fps in games with ProSavageDDR in Xfree86 RHL9

okay, iv got a P4 1.8 GHz, with 256 megs of ddr ram,
onboard S3 ProSavageDDR with 32 megs of shared ram, running Red Hat 9..
The chipset is detected as a KM133..
its actually a VIA 8751(P4M266)\VT8233A.

the problem is that when i try to play games like "tux racer" or chromium, the frame rate is a slide show!
i have played it on a P3 with an 810e chipset , and it ran nicely...even on a P4 1.8 with an 845 chipset, and it ran fine there too!

whats the deal:
a)the ProSavageDDR is worse than even the 810e chipset

b) the dirvers arent good enough(plz note, i got the latest driver for this chipset from Probo`s site, thinking that the default RedHat driver wasnt good enough)

plz note that none of the chipsets mentioned above have 3d support in Xfree86..then what the heck is wrong??i cant even think of playing unreal etc ...i wanna play games

thanx in advance
