Low Brightness on Monitor

I have a ASUS AN78x mother board (video on board).

Running Fedora Core 1. Cannot get monitor brightness up. When I was running Windows, all was well. Guess t is the driver. Anybody ever seen this before? Fixes?

Have you attempted to adjust the brightness using the controls on the monitor itself? This doesn't sound like an issue specific to your distro. - J.W.

How do I answer this? Yes, the monitor is pluged in and so on. I seriously have tried all of that. Perhaps the monitor is dying...I dunno,

What I mean is that there are various buttons on the front of the monitor which allow you to control the settings, such as contrast, brightness, vert/horiz alingment, etc. Have you tried those? -- J.W.
