Loud Fan

Ever since I switched to Red Hat, my fan has been noticably louder. I dual boot RH9/XP. When I use XP, the fan isn't near as loud. Any suggestions?

i personally think its all in your head, but what fan are you talking about?? the bios is typically the only thing that would have access to changing a couple a fan speeds, and thats even if IT supports it....
