Loss of USB 2.0 using Cruzer Micro/Skins

I recently used two Cruzer Micro thumb drives to recover files on a corrupted hard drive, using Knoppix 4.0.2. I plugged the drives into a working USB 2.0 port and they were both detected by hotplug, mounted as /mnt/sba1 and /mnt/sbb1 respectively. I changed them from read-only to write, and copied over the data that was needed. However, upon plugging them back into my Windows XP computer, they were no longer working at USB 2.0 speeds. I've tried reinstalling my chipset, however, i've tested these drives on several USB 2.0 capable computers and i get the same result. My iPod works fine using USB 2.0 on my XP machine as well.
I did umount the drives using the command-line in Knoppix, and everything appeared to be kosher. Is anyone familiar with a switch or something that was set, or how i can format the drives so they work as USB 2.0 (both in linux and windows) again.

Thanks,
