Moved to Hardware forum. Better suited there and also helps with other members searching hardware related questions as it will be in the proper place.

This is way too late now, but I hope you didn't use the A7N266 -- I'm using an A7N266-E, and have been reading some posts by others using a similar motherboard, and it seems so far that no distros work with them (neither redhat nor mandrake so far for sure). It'll freeze at the boot where it says "searching for module dependencies." Bummer.

I'm running an Asus A7V266-VM N-Force Motherboard in my office with Mandrake 9 on it and it works fine. The trick is to goto www.nvidia.com and pull down the Linux N-Force drivers.

Nvidia provide docs with 'em so try it out and post back here if you get stuck.

All in all though I've found A-Bit mobo's are the biz with Linux and a KT-7 then KG-7 with 1/2 gig of RAM has done me fine at home for ages.
