looking for an industrial/scientific system, 8 pci slots

i need a box with a lot of expansion slots, for what i guess you would call industrial I/O. like, for example, having 32 RS232 ports. can anyone recommend a builder who makes odd things like that?

thanks,

Go to http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/14759

Just need four PCI slots. Hopefully the card works in Linux.

Could just make it out of USB.

Are you sure you need RS-232 because for longer distances and a little more resilient to voltage use RS-485 instead.

thanks electro. you're correct - i probably do need RS-485, not 232.
