Logitech Webcam C200 drivers for Debian Etch

Hey all,

So for Christmas i got a webcam. And i knew it would be a fun challenge to get this webcam to work on a linux box. But i seem to have having way too much trouble.

Yes i've tried spca5xx and Ov51x but neither of them seem to work.

I have got the:
Logitech Webcam C200

Any suggestions?

Seems to work fine with Ubuntu 9.10

Also see the Logitech Forums:

You may need to use a more recent version of Debian (or another Linux OS) which has a more up-to-date kernel.

Oh yeah the whole Kernel update to 2.6.27 with the multiple hardware support

I'll have to update later cause I'm going away for a few days and I'm capped as well.

But I'll still check out the forum, see if theres a quick fix.

Try the uvc driver (linux-uvc-source).
