Logitech USB headset not working under aRts with a VIA onboard audiochipset.
 

I have an onboard VIA 8235 5.1ch sound card, and recently purchased a Logitech USB Headset 200 (0x46d:0xa01). I typically use KDE and aRts, but cannot get GnomeMeeting, XMMS, KRec or KNotify (any one) to recognize the headset for recording or playback. Kudzu correctly recognizes the headset, but neither ALSA, nor OSS, nor aRts seems to want to use it. Can someone help with this issue? Thanks.
