Logitech QuickCam IM - 046d:08f6

Just thought I'd add a little howto for this cam.
I'm using this on Slackware 11.
download the driver here: http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...ease_id=415065
Follow directions from: http://qce-ga.sourceforge.net./
One note, after getting this installed, I had to add my user to the video group. This file is found in /etc/groups (may differ per distro) While I was at it I also added root. Making the entry look like this:
video::18:root,lc

I think that's everything :)

Thanks for posting, but could you please add that info to the LQ HCL?

Well i wasn't able to get it working with my QuickCam Messenger (046d:08f6), also i got no results with driver bundled in kernel sources. But qc-usb-messenger-1.6.tar.gz from http://home.mag.cx/messenger/source was the working one (used on Gentoo Linux, 2.6.20).
