Logitech Mouse

Hi!

want to buy new mouse to change my five years old Logitech. I decided for Logitec MX400 Performance Laser Mouse. Anyone know how it works under Linux?
Thanks in advance,

Lumiwa

how is it connected? bluetooth/usb/ps2?

depending on your linux distro, itll most likely just involve editing the mouse inputdevice section of your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file and changing the protocol or device options. post that section if you want us to show you what to put.

It's okay. I hope that will works. I am not so "friendly" with what is new on the market. I think that mouse is not so new and for now i didn't have a problem.

And I have just Linux on my computer (Arch).

I bought Logitech USB MX400 Laser Mouse (5 buttons).
In the xorg.conf I have:

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse[1]"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
Option "SendCoreEvents" "true"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
Option "Buttons" "5"
EndSection

Csroll button works but thumb buttons are not so helpful. Any help, please?

Thanks.

My motherboard has no PS/2 mouse port. I'd say go USB.
