Logitech C270 Webcam not recording audio
Hello and good day, I am trying to run a webcam on my system, however, the problem is that I am not able to get audio to record with video.
I have attempted using Cheese and Webcamoid but to no avail. I can play sound in all other applications, VLC, Audacious, Audacity, etc. Any guidance is greatly appreciated, if there is any additional information I can provide, just need to know what is needed as I am pretty sure there will be more details required for assistance.
Kernel:
6.6.10-76060610-generic #202401051437~1704728131~22.04~24d69e2 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Mon J x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
OS:
Pop!_OS 22.04(jammy)
Hardware:
Logitech C270
Thank you in advance.

If you have not already done so, install the Pulse Audio Mixer (pavucontrol--it should be in the repos and check the various input and device settings. Pavucontrol gives you much more granular control than most volume control applications; you may find out that the webcam input is muted.
Also, if you can, try testing the webcam on another computer to rule out the (admittedly very remote) possibility that it's an issue with the webcam itself.

Pavcontrol successfully installed, regrettably, I do not have another computer to test the cam with.
Device: Webcam C270 Mono
Port: Microphone
100% (0dB)
The meter is registering audio (I have music in the background) Mic is picking it up.
Still no audio on the recorded video
