Liteon k17an monitor "out of range"

Hello all, just bought and installed a Liteon K17AN LCD monitor, whilst X seems to start ok I have "out of range" permanently displayed in the middle of the screen, any ideas ?. I'm running Fedora Core 2, I've looked at changing the monitor type under System Settings/Display but my monitor type is not listed

regards
