linux supported NIC


what is the NIC that linux support?
which should i buy.
will those cheap NIC work on linux?
shuold i install another driver of setup the kernel to support NIC

3com cards work well. I think pretty much all of them work. Linksys cards don't have any problems. Most of the Netgear cards work. You can find 3com cards at some shops used but still working great for like 5 bucks. I picked up 4 one time for a mere 15 bucks at a local shop..

Try searching, this is asked all the time. Also I'm moving this thread to Hardware, since its more suitable there.

I didnt have any problems with cheap cards based on RealTek chipset
