linux pcmcia wireless network adapters


are there any ones that support linux, alot of laptops with wifi integrated dont support nix, im lookin to either buy an integrated laptop, or buy a laptop , then a wifi nic card that supports linux, i heard something about cisco making ones that support nix? anyone kno of any others?

hi.

have a look at the HCL here. you'll find a bunch there.

i've a netgear 511t pccard myself. works fine with the madwifi drivers (atheros chips).

AFAIK there are integrated intel wifi-cards that work well: ipw2100 & ipw2200 source is available.

there is a sourceforge project http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/ for some cards.
