Linux on Netfinity 5500 M20
I installed Red Hat AS on my IBM Netfinity 5500 M20. Although the video displayed correctly during the install, when I try to bring up X now, it does not seem to work, I either get a blank screen or a very compressed/distorted display at the top 1/4 of the screen.
I've tried to run Xconfigurator many times, to no avail. The probe does detect my video card and monitor correctly.
Any suggestions?

Hi mikemillion, welcome to lq. You can configure it manually. You'll need to know your video chipset and which driver supports it, and your monitor refresh rates both vert. and horiz. There is a guide here that should walk you through it.

Thanx Peacedog.
Well, before I received your post, I went ahead an installed Red Hat 9.0, and the video is working fine.
I will re-try the install of Red Hat AS after I've read the information you pointed me to..
Thank you for your help...
