linux on HP

hi all
i owned HP DV2618 14.1" AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual-Core TL-58 1.8GHz Laptop.

i have windows vista home edition installed.

i wanna to install another linux OS(Fedora core 7) on my lap top.

Is it possible to install linux in my lap top. If so please tell how to do it.

I bought a similar HP not so log ago for my daughter. I put Slackware 12 on it alongside the preinstalled vista. You might wanna look at although your particular model is not listed there.

For the main part, you jsut need to shrink the vista installation and free some space for Linux partitions. I usually use a gparted live CD for that. After you do that, the rest is just a straightforward installation of Linux.
