Linux on Aliens?

No, not the little green ones.....

The new Duo Core Alien notebooks are Sooooo sweet I'm almost ready to grab my credit card......

Anyone install Linux on one yet? (hopefully my favorite SLED 10) ?

I would think the new XGL would easly run on their 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon X1800 card.

This may be a little off topic, but have you seen Widow PC's laptops? They are expensive, but I would love to have one.

Did It !!!!!

I just got my new Alien m5550i notebook all loaded up with SLED 10 and it ROCKS !

The install went flawlessly and ALL functions work, XGL, WiFi, Etc...apart from the sub-woofer built into the bottom of the machine.....

Even the screen brightness function-key works, unlike my Toughbook.

Battery life is quite short though........ oh well, you can't run a nVidia 256 meg card with rockin XGL graphics and still have long life.

SLED 10 with XGL is the most beautifull GUI I have ever seen. It's right up there with a Mac, and that's saying a lot.
