Question Linux on a CD-RW?

Has anyone thought to but Linux on a CD-RW? It would be a cross between a live CD and a removable disk. All of the non critical programs could be put on the windoz file system and data could be kept on the CD-RW. At only a USD or so for a CDRW it would be much cheaper then a flash USB drive. You could even reconfigure and recompile the kernel to eliminate unwanted drivers.

Thanks In Advance

Mark

yeah, but....you can't really delete data from a disk without totally formatting it, can you? I mean, the disk gets full after which you would need to totally erase it before "re-installing" it....
