linux mint not detecting battery and bluetooth

i am using a Toshiba laptop and i installed Linux mint 9 64 bit on it.
But it is not detecting my battery and bluetooth. In power management the is not option to configure battery mode and there is no notification even when i pulled power cord. i installed an application to monitor the battery but it is saying that battery is not available

Thanks in advance
