Linux Mint (Installer) does not see HDD.
After removing my HDD from my pc case, I could not boot up to Linux Mint. Afterwords, I tried to reinstall LM. It would not see the disk (not even in /dev, probably). But, the BIOS would see it very clearly, and I could install Windows 8.
UEFI is not On. Secureboot is not on. There install usb is fine.
Slackware insatller now gives a CHECKSOMETHING error -32 on start and hangs on this.
Looking at the slackware problem, I see that the drive is failing to communicate properly. BUT WHY IS WINDOWS NOT AFFECTED?
