Linux (Kernel) version 2.4.20 max harddrive size

what would be the max hard drive size i can use with this kernal version? the NAS-806-EF by adstech has the following internals specs. there support site says that it has been tested with 400mb hd, but i believe that is old news as they have newer firmware available. since the os is linux i want to make sure that if i pop a larger hd in it that it will work. any thoughts on this?

-Linux (Kernel) version 2.4.20
-170MHz MIPS Based Processor
-64MB SDRAM onboard
-DMA Engine
-Embedded MAC for IP
-Ethernet with PCI, MII, and RMII
-Local Bus Interface
-Boot loader info: PMON 5.3.10, customised and modified
