Linux Install of Uldra-P60 and Uldra-P2 HDMI capture cards

Our church has received 2x HDMI capture cards. They are both from www.pirect.com. One is an "Uldra-P60" and the other is an "Uldra-P2".

From the website, the installation instructions as well as the installation CD, these products are clearly aimed for an installation on Windows systems.

I was wondering if anyone has ever attempted to install these on a linux system. here are the info of the system I am trying to install on (the 2x devices seems to appear as audio devices(in green)):

Welcome to LQ, augerarcho.

You've about 10% chance, unless you were given these by some media wiz.

They take hdmi (=sound & video) in, and give hdmi out. You can google for linux support, but I don't expect it. Have they firmware in /lib/firmware or the latest firmware? Have they an entries in the latest kernel source, or the latest lspci database? Will the windows driver install to the latest wine? This is your problem, your boards, your machines. You have a job on your hands. Do what you can & report back. BTW, The latest stuff probably isn't installed.

EDIT: Hey, it's your lucky day. The big device on the p-2 is an ADV7611, datelined 1447, i.e. the 47th work week of 2014. Now if someone tossed you an old card, there might be a kernel driver. If that card is new, the chip is a lemon and nobody ever bought the chips they made. As a rule, your chip date is <6 months. That's ~6 years.
