Linux DVR?

Has anyone out there created a useable Linux DVR?

I'm considering a ATI TV Wonder VE for my tuner/capture card. It looks like there are Linux drivers for it, but will I be able to manually schedule a recording session?

Also, the ability to capture (and record) two channels at once is a must. Is it possable to use two of these cards at the same time?

What kind of processor horsepower am I going to need?

Ok, thanks.

Will Linux have any trouble with two of these cards at once? Or will I need to get two different cards in order to allow my system to distinguish them?
