Linux Driver for COM21 Doxport Cable Modem with USB Connection
Hi,
Actually I am competely new to Linux so bear with me. I just installed Red Hat 7.3. Everything seems to work fine, except I am not connecting to the internet. The OS is has recognized the device, but not as a Cable Modem that connects to the internet. I have looked for a Linux device driver for this particular cable modem, but I have not seen any. Is it a better option for me to get a home networking card and connect that way, with the hope that the network card will be recognized? It is a pain to get out of Linux and start Windows just so I can get on the internet to get my questions answered about Linux ! Thanks.. |
If the modem supports ethernet then that would be the easiest way to go.

deray, part of the forum rules is to not double post between forums as it saves in duplication of effort by the volunteers here.
Please look for further responses in the Networking post you made: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...threadid=23535 Cheers, Finegan |
