[SOLVED] Linux compatibility with Asus TUF B450-Plus Gaming motherboard

Hi all,

I installed Ubuntu 20.04 on my PC which has the Asus TUF B450-Plus Gaming motherboard with the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 proccesor. However I have problems with (I think) the drivers, because I don’t achieve to make de OS reproduce any sound. I tried to install the drivers from the menu “Software & Updates” in Ubuntu but it didn’t work. Now I’m wondering if there is any way to solve the problem or to confirm that this motherboard (or CPU, I don’t really know) is incompatible with Ubuntu 20.04.

I think the MOBO is ok, that should be compatible. But if you have a problem with sound we need to check that.
First of all check /var/log and dmesg about related error messages.

Okay, I finally could fix it reinstalling the drivers. I don’t know exactly where was the problem but now everything works fine, so at least I can say that the hardware setup I mentioned is compatible. Thank you for your answer, pan64.
