Linux Clustered Servers
Hi,
What do I need to setup a cheap Redhat Linux Clustered servers in my basement? I plan to buy two dual Xeon processor servers on ebay but my problem is not knowing what disk storage to buy that will be mountable on both server and be used as a shared drive for both servers. My goal is for both servers to see the NAS drive or whatever it's called as a shared drive. Thanks guys.

A cheap Red Hat server cluster with dual-Xeon processors :-) ?
What is it you're wanting to achieve? Clustering doesn't quite work simply by sitting two servers side by side, and if you're looking at a NAS, I'm guessing you're after file storage, in which case clustering would be a bit overkill anyways. A decent server with some kind of RAID array setup would suffice and pump out whatever data you're requiring.
Maybe let us know a bit more about what you're trying to achieve and wishing to use the system for.

That isn't even close to your original post I've got no idea on implementing that, hopefully another member will, but I've got to ask what on earth you're planning on doing with that kind of setup in your basement?!

Hope you find someone that can offer assitance with an attitude like that. I was trying to help out by offering suggestions and requesting more info. When you explained what you were trying to do, I simply politely said I didn't have any experience so it didn't appear the thread was simply being ignored.
Good luck.
