Linux Boot problem. Extremely weird!!!!

This might be the weirdest problem you would ever experience.

I want to install Fedora Core 6 on my PC104. I have the 5 cds and made sure that all of them have the right checksum.

I have set the right bios setting to boot from CD.

On the the first time I have boot the pc, it went to the Fedora core Boot Screen.
I have pressed enter to choose the graphical installation.
Next I got to the Media Test Screen. I choose to test the CD. After finishing I pressed continue.
The PC rebooted.

NOW here is the DRAMA.

I couldn't ever get to the fedora boot screen or any other fedora installation screen again. Every time the booting get to start processing the boot CD, the PC get rebooted. The only thing I can see is at the top of the screen is the sentence "ISOLINUX 3.1 1 ... Peter Avin"

I can't manage to read all the sentence because the pc will reboot by itself quickly.

I have burned a new Fedora core Bootable CD but couldn't make it work

Did anyone experienced this??
Can anyone help me.

Thanks

What write speed did you use to make the CD?

How old is the power supply?

When was the last time you clean the internals of the computer?

two things that you should find out ....

1. If you have another computer try the same CD with tht. See if that gives same result.

If yes, then download an fedora again from any alternate link.

2. Also, I suggest that you put in a CD of windows XP or any bootable, then try to boot your system. Does your system restarts on its own.

If yes, then access your bios and check if there is an conflict with booting priorities. I know you have checked it, but re-verification should not hurt.

If all is fine, the again the next step will be to get a new installation.

These booting issues can be very tricky, so be very accurate with the details on powering and booting priorities.

Finally I got it to work

The problem was in the power supply. Using my oscilloscope, I have monitored the value of the current (Amp). I recorded that my PC was drawing more current than my power supply can give every time the CD Rom spins the CD.

I got a bigger power supply (Max 7 Amp, Surge 9 Amp) and it made my life happier.

Thanks all!
