Hi,

please refrain from yelling religious propaganda at us.

If you are trying to find a driver, you need to know what the device actually is. Under linux you can find this out with the lspci command. Armed with that information you should be able to determine what driver to use by looking at http://www.fsf.org/resources/hw/net/wired-ethernet . However it seems you want to know what windows driver to use: for that I suggest reading the fine documentation that came with your paid for os, or perhaps asking on windows forum.

Cheers,

Evo2.

Ok. First find out what your device really is. Use the command lspci to do this. For example:

Code:
lspci | grep Ethernet
This should provide a line of output indicating what your network device is. With this information you can look up what driver it uses. One way of doing this (assuming it uses a free driver) is looking on the fsf website that I linked to in my previous post.

You can then confirm that this driver is being used with the lsmod command:
Code:
lsmod | grep <driver-name>
To *really* confirm that this is being used you can try to see if removed the module from the running kernel stops your network from working:
Code:
modprobe -r <driver-name>
Cheers,

Evo2.

PS. Not everyone likes being prayed for: some neither want nor need it.
