Linux and DVB with AverTV Cardbus Hybrid

Hi

I was hoping someone may be able to help me. I have an AVerMedia AverTV Hybrid+FM Carbus DVB/TV card. I bought it because it is based on the familiar Philips saa7134 chipset which has good support in linux.

Only problem is, I can't set it up with the saa7134 or saa7134-dvb drivers because I don't know a couple of things:

1) What are the card and tuner number?
2) What other drivers need to be modprobed as well?

I'm using Ubuntu 5.1 Breezy (kernel 2.6.12). It is autodetected as an saa7134 but the card/tuner are not (it is detected as generic saa7134 device).

I believe that card=46 should work (I think thats the hybrid one), but as I don't know what tuner to use there's too many variables to test. Has anyone got one of these working using any distro or kernel version? Perhaps even a PCI or USB version of the card? Maybe a similar DVB card based on the same chipset?

Any suggestions would be helpful!

Cheers.

Hi jaws - I'm afraid I might not be helping you too much here, but I've been doing what I can to find out about the PCI version of your hardware, without actually buying it.

My thread is HERE - with any luck, linking these two threads will bring any collected knowledge together in one place (I've linked back here, too).
