I've been trying to get a new sensors module that my motherboard (MSI 970 gaming) requires.
As it stands, when i run `sensors' there are no temp readings nor fan speeds.
I recently found out after running `sensors-detect' the fintek chip in question was labelled as "to-be-written", and that no module existed to handle it. After some digging on search engines i found out someone has written (or at least, added support) to a recent kernel.
It was pushed to mainline as of :
https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/ke.../tags/v4.3-rc2
The chip variant is 'f81866a', which is referenced in that file. Although, the kernel option here, doesn't actually list 'f81866a' in the description:

The option is enabled. I compiled this kernel with the help of a patch due to some broken non-relevant hypver issue in the mainline kernel, and rebooted.... BUT there is still no sensor support and the module doesn't seem to exist (or at least support the chip on this motherboard).
Any ideas? I really just want to get a sensor reading on this computer. As of the moment i have only been able to monitor idle temps from within the BIOS. As a precaution i want to know if my cpu is getting hotter than it should be when under load etc.
